moment, we're willing to believe that previous denials as to who made the referral to the local government watchdog are the
result of a misunderstanding. We assume that a correction will be forthcoming.
Update: (30 Oct) Peter Black told a local radio phone-in show, via e-mail, that he had withdrawn certain comments on his blog over who did what because they were "being used by individuals" to pursue their own agenda. Amazing.

Black is still claiming that it was Kinzett what done it. I've asked if he'd like to make a correction when he gets time.
Can someone explain why Holley and Hood-Williams have not been suspended by their political parties. An ombudsman investigation resulting from a referral by a chief officer is a serious matter. It is typically arrogant of Liberal Democrats and Conservatives to treat these allegations so lightly. They would be demanding resignations if Labour or Plaid Cymru councillors were involved.

I am surprised that Peter Black thinks that downplaying this matter is a wise strategy. It has already unraveled on him to the extent he has had to admit that the chief executive did indeed refer the complaint to the ombudsman.
I would not be surprised if the colleagues he nobly seeks to support are being less than candid with him about what actually happened. He should distance himself accordingly.
Not surprised by the recent reverse spin. Peter Black has a tendency of misremembering through his teeth.
Black also claimed that the CEO had been inundated by complaints - though how you can be inundated by two people is beyond me, I'm afraid. I doubt that the ombudsman will regard a misconduct referral from a top council official as a neutral act.
