Whatever positive PR has been achieved by the people behind Elsie in recent weeks is likely evaporate if it's top man continues to sound less than concerned over accidents.
Statements that the incident was "not the deep water part of the pool" is hardly the kind of response that the public expect from an organisation charged with running an important council-owned facility.
